LTC Johnson is a colorectal surgeon at Madigan Army Medical Center. He is also an associate professor of surgery, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He has an interest in minimally invasive colorectal resection and has published over 50 peer reviewed manuscripts as author or co-author. He is a member of several national committees, has served as a guest editor for Clinics in Colon and Rectal Surgery, and is often invited to speak for national meetings. He has previous deployment experience with the 10th CSH and US Special Operations Command.
