Dr. Fia Yi is a staff Colorectal and General Surgeon at San Antonio Military Medical Center. She is an assistant professor of surgery for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and currently serves on the hospital’s NSQIP and ERAS committee. On a national level, she is involved in the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons as a member of the CREST committee which is committed to creating and publishing CME worthy on-line educational modules for surgeons worldwide. She earned her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completed a General Surgery residency at Wilford Hall/University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio before going onto the Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgical Clinic in Atlanta to complete her fellowship. Her current research interests and publications are centered on Anal Intraepithelial Neoplasia, Rectal Trauma and Quality Improvement.
