Gerald J. Marks, MD

Gerald J. Marks, MD is a Professor of Surgery at Lankenau Institute for Medical Research in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. He is recognized internationally as a surgical pioneer in flexible colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy, the management of radiation injuries of the intestines and multimodal rectal cancer management with sphincter preservation utilizing neoadjuvant therapy. He is also credited with organizing and serving as the founding president of SAGES and IFSES.
