LTC Scott Steele

LTC Scott SteeleDr. Steele is the Chief of Colorectal Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, WA, and serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA and Associate Professor of Surgery, USU, Bethesda, MD. He serves on the editorial board for 6 national surgical journals including DC&R and a reviewer for 22 additional peer-reviewed journals. He is also an Associate Examiner for the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and a member of Written and Oral Examination Committees of the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. As a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, he is currently an active duty Army officer and has served 4 combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, being awarded the Combat Medical Badge amongst others. His contributions to the medical literature include over 100 peer-reviewed articles, 50 invited reviews and book chapters, 8 national practice parameters, guest editor for 5 volumes dedicated to colorectal disease, and currently is an editor on 5 upcoming textbooks in colorectal surgery.
